Swing Gates
There are two main types of swing gate automation: underground and overground systems.
Underground systems place the motors in metal boxes below ground, keeping them hidden for a clean look—ideal for homes.
Overground systems are more common for industrial use or homes where underground installation isn’t possible.
The motors come in hydraulic or mechanical options:
Hydraulic: Best for very heavy gates (up to 4m per leaf).
Mechanical: Suitable for most homes, handling gates up to 500kg (or 3.5m per leaf).
Both types are available in 24V or 230V versions and can be integrated with obstacle detection devices.
Sliding Gates
Sliding gates are great for heavy commercial gates or stylish home entrances. Berfield Automation offers two types:
Cantilever gates: Supported from one side, moving without touching the ground.
Tracked gates: Roll along a ground track.
